Hi!
I just purchased Company Of Heroes 3 on PC and it meets the system requirements. Each time I launch the game, a message appears about my video drivers being outdated (though all my drivers are current). The game loads fine, but when I try to start by pressing any key to access the main menu it crashes to the desktop. My PC satisfies the minimum specs (i5 CPU, GPU is r9 280x). I reinstalled the game, verified all drivers, confirmed the game files, ran it as administrator, checked the DirectX version (12), and there are no mods installed.
The GPU is from 2013 and AMD has stopped providing updates for it (as of 2022), yet it performs better than the minimum required GPU (r9 370, released 2015). Is this just due to the age of the GPU or something else?
I’m fine with playing Company of Heroes 1 and 2 on this machine.
Anyone have suggestions or assistance?
Thanks a lot!
