Sure thing. It's clear now why GPU issues tend to be less obvious, while CPU problems usually cause immediate crashes. I'll prioritize performance improvements for discrete GPUs first, then shift focus to CPU tasks. Appreciate the clarification!

Interesting points here. It seems everyone uses the same silicon die, which might explain why I ended up with a different model. Maybe I was unlucky with the silicon selection. I’m considering downgrading to a 6800XT now that I realized the issue wasn’t hardware-related—it was software, specifically disabling ULPs in MSI Afterburner. I sent it back and upgraded to a 6950XT, but the performance gap is minimal. I’m planning to look for a 6800XT priced under $535 since that’s what I originally bought. Would you suggest sticking with a 6800XT? I wonder if my stuttering problems would return if I go back to it. My 1% and 0.1% lows seem better on the 6950XT, but logically, they should work just fine on the 6800XT too, since it was identical before I fixed it. The price-to-performance ratio looks much stronger with the 6950XT at $700, even though most reviews were around the original MSRP of $1250.
