Hey there. Someone might be able to clarify what's going on. I've got an i7-4790k, MSI GTX 1070 with 8GB RAM (no overclocking), and when playing Arma 3's "King Of the Hill," I see 45-90 FPS, averaging around 50. The issue is that the game feels choppy and doesn't look smooth. I saw YouTube videos showing 40 FPS with very fluid gameplay. Could this be related to my RAM? It seems like I have 32GB at 4000 MHz in one video, but only 16GB or similar in mine. Anyone have ideas on why that might affect performance? Thanks!

16gb ram suffices for gaming on a 1070. I've played KOTH and maintain around 90 fps with that configuration. The issue might lie with your internet connection or nearby servers. Benchmarking without online play helps isolate this. It's possible a GPU problem exists, but without further checks I can't confirm. Likely the cause is network or server-related.

Can we verify this? My connection is 90 Mbps, ping is 70-80 ms, upload speed is 3 Mbps, and there are 75 players online. You can also watch the video to see him playing on the same servers.

Take a look at this—it's really smooth. But I'm having trouble getting the same outcome. I've already updated the BIOS for my GTX 1070, following the company's advice.

I think the issue might lie with the internet connection or the servers. A 3mbps upload speed seems quite limited. If everything else works fine in other games, it’s likely the server is the problem. You could try reinstalling the game. Regarding RAM, the 4000mhz mentioned appears to be the GPU VRAM, not the system RAM. DDR4 technology doesn’t reach that frequency.

Also, you noted your frame rate is around 60-70 FPS in Overwatch, whereas I mentioned 100 FPS. Could there be a problem with the GPU? I thought these games typically max out at 70 FPS.

I'm also using a 6600k which might account all the frames, which might be again an internet problem or faulty hardware. (Don't take the faulty hardware thought to heart, it's really unlikely that if the only difference in frames and not crashing) If it's internet or servers in Israel then there is nothing to do unless you plan on moving. If you are worried about faulty hardware test a non-online game and compare with a similar system's benchmarks online.

However, overwatch is distinct, I believe it should function identically! Is that included?

1. Arma 3 was only recently released as a 64-bit version.
2. Performance depends on the server's frame rate; if one player struggles, everyone feels it.
3. The GPU plays a minor role. This data comes from a 32-bit Arma version—possibly the port or another video is causing the issue.
