Hello! I'm having trouble finding the right setup for my system. I have several ARGB devices—my RGB fan hub (with six fans), an Aura Sync compatible controller, a CPU air cooler, and an upcoming NVME heatsink with an ARGB header. I need all of them connected to a 5V3 pin header, but my motherboard only has a standard RGB header (12 pins). My TUF B450 Gaming Pro is still great for thermal performance, even though it doesn’t support ARGB.
I’m trying to link everything to an Aura Sync hub, which is exhausting. I’m worried about damaging my unit or risking overheating. I’ve ordered everything online and just need the parts to work together. There aren’t many forums discussing this exact configuration, so I’m not sure if there’s a better way. Would it be easier to buy a board with an ARGB header instead? Thanks for your help!
Hello, If you have all those ARGB components (assuming they're ARGB but you changed to RGB afterward), downgrading them to standard 12v RGB would work better for the converter box. Hey! It doesn't really matter whether I downgrade them to RGB, as long as everything syncs on the motherboard—rams and other ARGB parts. I'm thinking about getting a future upgrade with an ARGB slot, but right now I'll stick with this board because of its great reviews. If I use an external ARGB controller, can I still connect it to my motherboard? Would it have the same 5V3 pin connector? My goal is to keep everything in sync, even if the upgrade changes the color mode. Plus, I was thinking about selling my current board, but honestly I really prefer the TUF B450 Gaming Pro right now.
