Are your stand-off screws over-tightened?
I observed three of my Stand off Screws are more tightly fastened than the rest. Should they all be aligned or should I keep them as is? I received the CougarMX330-G Air case, and while six screws were already set, the remaining three were installed by me. The photos below show a screw I installed versus one from the manufacturer.
It would assist to identify which part is completed by the manufacturer and which by you. However, as others have noted... unless your standoffs vary in dimensions, they should be inserted as far as possible (for example, until the physical standoff reaches the motherboard tray.)
First Picture: The left screw was done by me, the right one by the manufacturer. Second Picture: The screw is done by me. Third Picture: The screw is done by the manufacturer. The three screws I installed seemed to be aligned properly at first, but it wasn't until I checked under the MOBO tray that I realized they were protruding more than expected. I was curious if this was an issue.
It shouldn't be a big problem. The part that's coming through might have a bit more thread or the case metal is slightly thinner there. A closer look shows more of the tray burr on the shorter piece. As long as it doesn't block the rear panel, I don't see any concerns.
