In short, you've been experiencing problems lately, particularly while gaming. When showing your sensors to a friend, he pointed out your RAM numbers were low. I checked and found my TrFC is 900+ with dual RAM and single RAM on both sticks. Without XMP, it's around 750+ Single DIM test, 1 Single DIM test with dual DIM without XMP, or depending on the Asus version, it's about 700+. I've tried everything: switching RAM sticks in one channel, resetting BIOS, updating BIOS, testing with and without DOCP, resetting hardware, removing CMOS, and running MemTest—no major issues found. I can't try different RAM because I don’t have spare parts. My CPU is AMD Ryzen 5600X, RAM is Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO Black 32GB 3600MHz, GPU is RTX 3080 MSI MOBO: ROG STRIX B550-F for gaming. I’m not very familiar with memory specs and just want a second opinion—could it be the motherboard or the RAM? Or is everything fine?

It's perfectly fine at 3600 MT/s to have its tRFC. The settings are deliberately relaxed. If you aim for a tighter profile—since you didn't train the memory controller—you'll need to push the limits. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t. Certain titles don’t need faster RAM; some even see a full 100% boost over the standard 3200CL16 XMP. You’ll notice more improvement at 1080p than 1440p, and even more so in latency or bandwidth-heavy games like CSGO, Valorant, Overwatch, Warzone, Fortnite, etc., or in oddly-optimized titles such as Planetside 2. It’s not a universal fix, and the gains you get vary. They depend on:
- How much time you’re ready to invest (for 32GB and very tight tuning, it can take days each week from 3 anta77 passes of TM5)
- The condition of your hardware. Luckily Corsair provides details about the memory IC in "verX.XX." At 3600CL18, it might be dual rank 4.31—potentially the best you could expect, though Corsair doesn’t guarantee performance.

In a limited number of games, yes. Very few would attempt that. However, I'm more worried about hitting the 1% or 0.1% thresholds.
