Are your keyboard's alpha and numeric buttons malfunctioning sometimes?
I own a Corsair k70 Cherry MX Red that I've relied on for six years. Lately, the letter and number keys, along with the numpad, have stopped functioning suddenly for some time before resuming, appearing at random intervals. Only every other key responds properly, even when performing commands like Ctrl + C. I've attempted to uninstall and reinstall the drivers, adjusted keyboard settings such as sticky keys and filters, and changed delays, but nothing has resolved the issue except restarting the computer. This keeps happening, which is frustrating to deal with regularly. What might be causing this and how can I fix it?
Update your post with complete hardware details and operating system information. Consider using the built-in Windows troubleshooters; they might resolve the issue. Also, running "sfc /scannow" and "dism" could help. Refer to the guide at lifewire for more steps. Also, try using a different working keyboard on your device. If you're only 6 years old, the keyboard might be nearing or already past its End of Life.
Scanned and reset both ran smoothly, continuing the process. I tried a different keyboard and it worked there as well. It seems unrelated to the keyboard problem. Also, I observed that clicking specific search bars on webpages functions correctly, but not in the browser address bar on Windows. If I type in the search bar here and then switch to another window or action, it restarts properly. Quite strange behavior.
I'm experiencing the same problem with a Logitech keyboard, which is quite annoying.
It seems an installed app or update might be causing the issue.

Have you found a solution for this?
Software recently added to my system:
TeamViewer
Kaspersky Internet Security
Update KB5007186
Update KB5006365
Windows 10 20H2 (build 19042.1348)
I've encountered the same issue, I think it's connected to Google Chrome since it often happened when I was typing in a search bar or a website input field. However, I discovered a temporary fix: visiting the Google Calendar on Chrome, selecting to create a new event, and then the keys functioned again. The problem doesn't impact the virtual keyboard.
