My profile picture strongly reflects Windows 10. Just swap in Bill Gates instead of Linus.

It's often unsettling when surveillance is everywhere. Facial recognition systems really stand out among monitoring methods. If you reside in a big city like Chicago, New York, or London and frequently use social media—posting selfies and engaging online—you likely have a comprehensive facial record that can be tracked easily. If this isn't a concern for you, it probably means you don't prioritize your privacy.

It would be odd if they examine the video titles closely. The information collected is purely numerical, displayed in graphs and charts rather than personal observations. Yet even then, it’s unclear why someone would be concerned about a stranger who reviews thousands of similar content. I don’t understand how people feel their privacy is being breached when everything remains anonymous and statistical.

I need to accept that Microsoft is only generating random data and displaying it in charts. It doesn’t seem they reference the actual PCs they’re tracking. They just assign random numbers and plot them.

They don’t seem interested at all. I focus on building and coding, plus gaming. Unclear what they expect from me.

I understand, but this feels like a recurring issue with the internet. I’m choosing NO. It seems more about marketing tactics than real concerns—like those tin foil hat conspiracies they love to spin. If Microsoft is tracking us, we should switch to Linux (you can turn it off if you want). Apple, Google, Yahoo, Facebook... all are potential threats. Privacy on the web isn’t safe. This isn’t new.

It’s not about whether they gather data, but why it’s important to you. Understanding their awareness of your preferences helps clarify your own boundaries and needs.

For stats and ads, who cares? It's not anonymous—your device ID is shared with everyone else. That’s a major issue...

Many are concerned about Microsoft monitoring your searches and Cortana listening in, while Siri captures everything you say and sends it to Apple. Google Chrome and general searches also track your activity. The main worry is that your files might be compromised.
