Hello everyone, just checking if the 10900X has solder joints. I had my 7800X with thermal paste and temperatures dropped a lot, but mine is holding steady around the 80s after adjusting voltage. Not sure if that’s normal or if there’s something else going on. Any real insights would be great!

You bought the entire thermometer, so use it fully. Still, 80°C works well on an Intel chip. It’s designed to handle temperatures in the 100s for extended periods. The solder around the IHS is decent, and you can mostly just tweak under-voltage or adjust cooling settings.
