I'm currently running a 4090 (which I'm keeping as is), an i7-12700k, 64GB 3600 CL16 DDR4 on an MSI Z690 Tomahawk WiFi motherboard.
I'm thinking about upgrading to a 7800x3d in November when Black Friday deals appear.
However, my setup falls into a particular use case: I have four HDDs, one 2.5 SSD, and an optical drive installed alongside the 1 2TB NVMe SSD.
I'm considering adding a 4TB WD Black SN850X SSD for extra space when I acquire the new components.
I already know I need the 7800x3d unless the 9800x3d becomes available and offers better performance.
I'm also planning to install the G.Skill Ripjaws X5 with 64GB (two 32GB) DDR5 6000 CL30 RAM.
I'm trying to decide which motherboard fits best, keeping in mind my six SATA drives and my need for a lot of peripherals.
Currently, I'm using a Racing Wheel, pedals, mouse, keyboard (two USB ports), and a USB hub with five of the seven available ports.
In my current setup, adding more USB devices is likely, so I’m not really looking at any major changes.
But I want to find out what kind of motherboard you should consider. You might want to explore any B650 chipset motherboards available. What budget have you allocated for your purchase? Where are you situated and are you considering an ATX model? With intentions to add more USB devices in the future. How many USB ports are we evaluating? If you require significant storage, perhaps a NAS could handle that.
It's a bit too soon to decide on November actions.

Consider updating your motherboard BIOS to currency and swapping the CPU for an i9-14900K.
I mean it's working just fine except for the fact that I think it's time to switch things up and I'm not sure why I'd just replace a CPU with an end-of-line model right now for $500 or more when I could get a new platform for $700 with upgrade options. As I mentioned, I really only need a motherboard suggestion, so my budget is under $250 for an AM5 board meeting the requirements I described.
