Hey there, seeking some guidance and information since I haven’t purchased a laptop before.
I’m looking for a budget-friendly option, around £1000, based in the UK, similar to an Xbox Series X.
According to my understanding, with a GPU matching the performance of an RTX 2070 or higher, such as a GTX 3060 or Ti, it doesn’t need to be a top-tier model.
For the CPU, I’m aiming for something in the range of an i3 13100 or an i5 10600k, since my main use will be gaming and not demanding heavy workstation tasks like streaming or coding.
Storage should be expandable, ideally with a 120GB SSD, which would suffice.
I’d prefer 2 or 3 USB ports, or at the very least one USB-C hub.
The only additional feature I’d consider is a display with a refresh rate of 120 or 144Hz, but otherwise the trackpad, keyboard, size of the screen (as long as it’s not too small), and other details are secondary.

A straightforward choice is to purchase the top laptop you can afford.
It won’t match every specification perfectly. PC games behave differently on PCs compared to consoles.
It seems your budget aligns with the RTX 4050 or RTX 4060 range.
