I bought an Asus TUF gaming laptop with a Ryzen 9 processor and an RTX card. It feels fast to play games right now, but lately my frame rate drops suddenly from 120 down to something low like 4 or even lower every few minutes. I thought it was because of heat since the CPU gets hot (around 90 degrees) sometimes, so I tried lowering its voltage. The temperature went down after that, but the game is still slow. This happens a couple of times in ten to twenty minute periods and lasts for two or three seconds each time. Even though this isn't super long, it is really annoying because it is brand new. I have already fixed many things like updating drivers and resetting Windows, yet the problem keeps coming back.

I like this post a lot. I have the same problem with my MSI Sword too. The graphics card is an NVIDIA 3050 Ti and it's giving me similar headaches. Here are some links you can look at for help: https://forums.

I've heard it's all on my graphics card, but I'm kinda unsure how hot that gets since I don't know the normal range yet.
