Hello everyone, I’m seeking some guidance on picking a video editor. I’ll be working with shadowplay and GoPro clips, aiming to start uploading to my YouTube channel. I’m very new to this, so any recommendations you have would be super helpful. If you know a solid tutorial for the software you think is worth using, please share it! Right now I’m using a trial version of Adobe Premiere Pro, but I’m finding it too advanced—I might have gone too far. Once the trial ends, I probably won’t want to pay the yearly fee. I’m hoping for something free or under £60. Thanks for taking the time to read!

Sony Vegas offers a smoother experience, though it costs $600 upfront. Davinci Resolve is free for one time but is more complex (similar to Premiere) and has a 1440p cap. Sony Movie Studio charges $100, while Premiere Elements is $120 and quite basic. All options remain fairly challenging to master. I’d pick Resolve and stop there.

Vegas can be enjoyable when you adapt, though it comes with a high price tag. I haven’t actually paid for it yet.
