First draft handled some tricky thread problems, sorry about the shifting blue during stitching. I usually prefer showing ideas through stitches rather than static images—grayscale and black work well, plus my own twist might be perfect. EDIT: The gray version is done now and looks smoother, with fewer thread issues.
I prefer the silver tone more generally, though the right shades of blue and appropriate clothing could make a blue option work well as well... think silver for the soldiers on the front line (ideal for airsoft) while blue might suit officers better with a more polished look.
Consider a design with silver on the interior and red on the exterior, blending the two for a tri-color look. If that doesn’t work, go with red and black instead.
