I am creating a new personal Google account. But I want to cut back on my dependence on Google for specific parts of my online life. Previously, I relied on Google’s Play Music Service to buy songs, add my music library, build playlists, and stream music from my Android devices. These tasks were slow when I moved between Apple and Google services or needed to set up a new account on either platform. I’ve chosen not to use YouTube Music for uploading or organizing my music collection. Instead, I’m seeking a dependable alternative that works across different mobile devices, operating systems, and computers—such as Windows 10/11, Mac OS/iOS, Android—and compatible with services like Amazon’s Alexa and Echo.

I’ve heard of services like Pandora and Spotify. I understand I can upload music and make playlists on Spotify (especially in MP3 format), but I’m not sure about uploading to Pandora. I’m not very experienced in the music streaming space, so I’d appreciate your advice. I’m open to paying a monthly subscription for these services. Since most of my music is in FLAC format, I can convert it to a compatible version if needed. I’m still learning about this industry and would value your suggestions.

I maintain a backup of my music collection on Amazon (linked to Prime). The method varies based on how you define "streaming"—there are dedicated apps available for iOS, Android, and Windows desktops.
