I was just considering how cool it would be to sail boats with steering wheels. With my G27, I imagine the amazing experience they could create by sailing through the waves. It would definitely be relaxing. However, I haven’t found any regular boat games—just a few arcade linear racers. lol.
Upcoming major release of steam green light, boat simulator—probably nothing out there, at least what you want is here. You might enjoy Assassin's Creed Black Flag, just drifting around.
I believe Nadeo might have played a sailing simulation, though I'm unsure about its quality. It's called Virtual Skipper.

It's true, but using a steering wheel in those games feels odd. With so many games released each day, there aren't many boat sims available, and I'm not particularly into them. Still, I thought it might be enjoyable to try.
There are various ship simulators available, including one named "Ship Simulator 201X" (I’m not sure about the exact details). I tried playing with them and found them fairly good, offering a realistic experience for driving boats and ships.
We definitely want a VR boat sim! I’d jump overboard and sail away mwahhaah—watching sharks eat them! A simulator and horror VR game combined? That’s even better. What else do you need? More games or fun mini-games? Indie developers, where are you hiding?
