Hey everyone! I’ve noticed my laptop isn’t performing as it used to. After checking 3dMark and using Time Spy, my score is way below expectations. Usually stock scores hover around 17.5K–20K, so I’m not sure if this is normal. The most surprising thing is my GPU stays under 100W, while others often hit 115–120W or more. In the games I’ve tried—DA:Veilguard, Cyberpunk 2077, Dragons Dogma 2—I ran at about 75–80W and might even exceed 100W when loading from the menu. I’ve adjusted Synapse settings to CPU: Boost and changed GPU modes to High, Medium, Low. Interestingly, medium and low boost gave better scores than high, but the GPU still didn’t go over 100W. After uninstalling Synapse and doing a clean Nvidia driver install plus a light NVClean setup, nothing changed much. My GPU temperature never climbed above 74°C. Is this just a minor quirk or is there something more going on with my machine? If you have any tips or data to share, please let me know! Thanks for your help!

Task manager informs you about the game performance and FPS. It suggests checking power settings for performance mode and seeing if dust accumulates in the vents with a flashlight. It also asks whether FPS has dropped and emphasizes the overall issue.

Thanks for sharing your setup! Your laptop seems to be running at full capacity with the Synapse software, but you're noticing a drop in performance during gaming compared to last year. You mentioned checking fans and vents, which are clean, and doing regular deep cleans. It sounds like you're doing everything right physically. The lack of concrete data makes it hard to pinpoint the exact issue, but your observations about lower FPS scores and reduced GPU output are interesting.

I've included a benchmark file for Cyberpunk 2077 that records power usage. It should help you assess whether your power brick is delivering enough output. If you're unsure about the results, let me know how you'd like to verify it. File attached: cyberpunk2077benchmark.CSV

It appears only liquid remains when heated. It would be clearer to state a deviation or loss of contact between the core and the heat spreader.
