Hi everyone. I just placed my order for new PC parts and am setting it up for Christmas. I was counting on a friend who had Windows 7 to lend me one, but when I went to pick it up he gave me a pirated disk and a copy of Windows Loader by Daz. That surprised me, but he said his family has used it without issues and I can’t afford a genuine copy myself. Later I discovered through my school that I can upgrade to Windows 8.1 for free. Here are my questions: 1. Is it possible to download a Windows 8.1 ISO torrent and use my valid upgrade key on a new machine? 2. Can I install Windows 7 with the Loader and then upgrade to a genuine Windows 8.1? 3. If not, is Loader safe for about six to twelve months until Windows 10 launches, when I’ll be able to buy a real copy (once I have the funds and it’s cheaper)? 4. Any other tips you might have? I’m trying to build this in a few days and would really prefer not to use pirated software if I can help it.

Obtaining the Windows 8.1 ISO from a torrent and using your authentic key is the optimal approach

Are you sure the Upgrade code matches the product code? Using the wrong one could cause issues and require removal.
