I use a 6600K with 16GB DDR4 memory and it's performing really well, just hoping to switch to an AIO cooler but a Novatech issue delivered a defective one.

Dual Channel? as in two sticks? if so then yeah there's no reason what so ever to replace it.

Dual channel available. Which option appeals more? The 3600(x) or the 2700X? Currently the 2700X is $189 on Amazon, while the 3600X is $230 and the 3600 costs $194. It looks like the 2700X might be a better pick.

I’m certain the Ryzen 5 3600 is the best choice. It matches the performance of the R5 3600X, with the main variation being the included cooler. The Ryzen 5 3600 outperforms the R7 2700X in all aspects except for fully multi-threaded tasks like video editing, and it still keeps up well. If you focus on gaming, the R5 3600 delivers significantly better speed and reliability.
