Hello. I'm curious about how many of you still plan to play The Last of Us 2 now that the plot and key story points have been exposed by NaughtyDog staff. This information comes from what fans have shared so far. My perspective: The spoiler is clear—I agree with what I've seen on YouTube and other fans regarding the leaked details. It feels like a direct attack on the original game, especially with its identity and gender themes being highlighted as problematic. It's a real disappointment, as the original was a well-crafted narrative experience, better than many I've encountered recently. I won't be playing it. In short: the leaks reveal Joel's death, the gender representation is questionable, and Ellie's sexuality plays a significant role. The female 'killer' becomes the new protagonist, replacing Ellie, and she's also reportedly killed in later content. (This seems intentional for upcoming games or DLCs.) I won't be linking the sources of these leaks, as they're widely discussed online now.
I don't enjoy crunch crush chrus games. I haven't seen the game yet, but it seems like I've played them countless times already.
The initial experience was not very engaging. Although they promoted a compelling narrative, the characters seemed dull, and the gameplay felt average.
The first game ran for a while on PC using emulation, and the second version was expected to arrive soon. Maybe I should share this in the console discussion as well. Yes.
This should be updated for console gaming by the admin. The last of us 1 was great, particularly the multiplayer mode. It's the only console multiplayer experience I've played since Killzone 2 and Soco Confrontation back then.
I don’t intend to read the leaks, and I’m definitely thinking about purchasing the game. After all, relying on a leaked story to judge a game isn’t very reliable—it’s more about how it performs in the actual experience. I’ve come across many movie summaries that seemed bad but turned out great once watched.
I think the idea is that the initial game will arrive on PC, though they didn’t intend to regularly share their exclusives there. All the PlayStation titles that have arrived seem to have been delayed, as sales on the console itself slowed over several years. It’s likely it will happen, but it might take 4 to 5 years.
Honestly, the initial title didn’t really grab my attention. It seems they altered the 12-year-old character for no clear reason, which made me think I wasn’t really meant to play it. If current political issues are central to the story, it feels more like a heavy lecture than an engaging game.
