As the new Zen 3 and RDNA2 versions arrive, I'm evaluating available choices. If reviews align with AMD's claims, my chances of getting an upgrade are strong. Currently, the ASRock x570 Gaming ITX seems suitable, though I lack an AMD CPU. Having BIOS flashback and Q flash would be a big advantage. For essentials, I need an ITX build, optical audio output, and two M.2 slots. Since I'm not an overclocker, I prefer having flexibility rather than forcing changes.

Wait for benchmarks from various regions, then it will arrive soon. Why do you require an X570? Usually a B550 will handle the ITX, two M.2 slots, and your I/O needs are mainly met by a more costly motherboard.

I'm not triggering anything tomorrow. I'm just checking around to build a plan once reviews are out after RDNA2 and independent tests with Zen3 come in. I'm okay with a more premium option that matches those specs, so I'm spending time exploring available choices and their performance. I don't need the X570, but it's the closest match to my hardware needs right now. If a B550 fits, I'll add it to the list for further consideration.

I’d prefer to use ASUS again, but neither model offers optical audio output.

You could always find an amplifier or sound card with an optical output.

This approach could provide additional choices, though the socket dimensions might limit availability for an ITX AMD model.

It's not a huge issue. This has been challenging lately. It's been keeping me up all night. That's why I'm here.

It's a compact mini DXG motherboard, slightly larger in width.
