Anyway to get rid of all that spy crap MS will do after I link. Okys, will I have to loh in to Windows from that point on?

You may disconnect or delete the Microsoft account connected to the operating system on the new device once you enabled it there.

Great idea if you connect your account, even if you don’t need to use it. The code should work without issues.
