Updated to Windows 24H2 and observed several new installations or changes. Game Assist Microsoft Bing Microsoft Visio - en-us Also, can I remove Outlook, People, Xbox, Xbox Live, Maps, Mail, Calendar, and Microsoft 365 Enterprise apps? I previously bought and installed Microsoft Office Home and Student 2021. Uncertain if the 365 is still necessary since I used to think it was part of Home and Student before.
You might want to remove everything; it’s likely you’ll be better off without them.
It could have been there before, but I don’t recall seeing it.
You can remove those files yourself directly through Windows without using Revo.
You can still explore the Settings menu if you choose. The main benefit here is ease of use. There’s a section for Windows Apps—pick the ones you don’t need and uninstall them quickly. A backup is created, but there’s no deep customization involved.
It came bundled with Microsoft365. Re-reading your message I understand now. I was curious about why you mentioned Visio. M365 is essentially the only option to get it without needing Visio separately. It's odd that you'd have Microsoft365 installed, though... Office 2021 shouldn't have installed anything tied to 365, for certain. My version of Office 2024 definitely didn't include any 365-related components. Is this a refurbished office machine? Or could the Microsoft account you're using have obtained the license through your workplace or school? Either way, it's fine. Just in case, you can always reinstall Office 2021 independently if needed.
I understand what you believe was left from the early days of my PC setup, but I didn’t really pay much attention until it became part of the Home and Student configurations. The only times I accessed the installed programs list or the control panel were for very particular reasons.
