I am looking to buy a 150ft cat7 ethernet cable. It is an SSTP type cable.
1. Do the cables in the link above have shields on both the wires and the connectors? 2. By the specs, all SSTP cat7 cables need a shield for every twisted pair AND a single shield that wraps around all the wires. Cat7 cables must also have shielded metal connectors, right? 3. I need to buy a cable where the RJ45 jack is shielded and it connects to a shielded connector? 4. How do I know if an RJ45 jack is actually shielded? 5. Does my z170x gaming 3 board have a shielded RJ45 jack?

Flat Ethernet Patch Cables: Stay away! These "flat" cables aren't designed for normal use because they have the wrong thickness and don't include the shielding you think will help them sound better.

Shielded cables aren't good for home life according to me. You should never buy anything past the Cat 6a level, because they are useless and often fakes. Just stick with Cat 5e or Cat 6a, which is enough.
