They are quite similar to the 240-volt circuits used in the EU, just operating at 60hz instead of 50hz. These installations are usually rare and often custom-built. Big air conditioning units requiring such power are not common in modern homes. Most residences have central AC systems with only smaller window units for supplementary cooling if needed.

Thanks everyone for the assistance, it means a lot.
I just checked the breakers and noticed there are two separate 20A outlets in the bedroom. I plan to install each PSU into one of them and should be okay.
