I suggest Ubiquiti AC-Pros. I have two installed and they function nicely together.
Choosing an access point from Ubiquiti is ideal. For most homes, the UAP-AC-PRO isn’t necessary; the UAP-AC-LR or a few UAP-AC-LITE units should suffice when placed at both ends or on each floor. If your setup doesn’t enhance connectivity, it might mean your home contains lead or was built without wireless internet in mind.
