Hi guys, I'm looking to purchase a configurable laptop and am unsure which of these two websites to choose from: PC Specialist or XMG. Do you know these companies? Which one do you think offers better performance in terms of heat dissipation/temperature, quality, and service? Thanks!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
You haven't specified the budget you've allocated for a laptop purchase. The listings on PCSpecialist suggest the more expensive models come with robust cooling systems, whereas the cheaper options appear to be slimline or notebook-style devices suited for mobile computing. This pattern is consistent across XMG's site as well.

What are your thoughts on the latest PC specialist models featuring Intel 13 series and RTX 4000 series?
In your view, do they meet expectations in terms of quality and cooling?
Also, how would you rate their support?
Thanks

Tommy, neither firms manufacture their own laptops but purchase basic chassis from Clevo & Tongfang, configuring the hardware to suit individual preferences. As a result, the models tend to be quite similar.

For support and repairs, PC Specialist is a British firm, whereas XMG operates in Germany, which could influence the experience depending on your location.

If you're based in the UK, I suggest PC Specialist since I've had positive feedback from clients there, praising their build quality and value.
