I have an ASUS TUF A15 laptop. About two weeks ago, I started seeing those vertical lines on the top of my screen. At first, it was okay because only happened when I opened a full-screen video. Then things got worse, and now I can't see what's below those lines. Sometimes the screen refreshes for a second or two and then shows again, but not always. I tried resetting Windows and going into safe mode, updating drivers for both AMD and NVIDIA, turning off only one card, nothing fixed it. The only thing that worked is changing the refresh rate to 60Hz instead of 144Hz. I should say I can't see screens outside of Windows, like the ASUS startup screen or the advanced troubleshooting menu (I don't think safe mode works) or even the BIOS settings, probably because they default to a 144Hz refresh rate. So for me, it looks like a hardware issue. Before I order a new replacement part, I wanted to ask you if there is anything we can do on the software side. Thanks.

You can only say so much when using words alone; pictures show things better than text. Please share screenshots of what's on your laptop screen. When we talked about laptops, has it been covered by warranty yet? Is there a BIOS update needed? I tried resetting Windows (formatting) but could you tell me more about that? Formatting and reinstalling is not the same thing as restarting or wiping out the system completely.

I attached a video, but it doesn't show much. Only the very top of the screen shows up, then there are vertical lines, and after that nothing but black. Of course, screenshots or videos taken directly from your computer won't catch this issue because they don't capture it on my phone's camera. https://imgur.com/a/pp7BV6r View: https://imgur.com/a/pp7BV6r My laptop is not under warranty (I also took apart it a few times). There isn't even a pending BIOS update. I meant the "Reset my PC" option.
