Are these voltages okay?
I'm just starting out with overclocking and wasn't completely clear on the safe voltage ranges to watch for.
I increased my 8gb Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM from 2400MHz to 2600MHz, setting the memory voltage to 1.360V.
The CPU core voltage is now 1.136V.
I'm not sure if the CPU core voltage is influenced by the memory voltage, so I included it anyway.
My system uses an i5-6600k processor and the ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming Motherboard.
Is this setup safe?
You're secure with both voltage levels. I'm focusing on the CPU side because I don't consider myself an expert in memory tuning for overclocking. You didn't mention your cooling solution, so I'm assuming you have an air cooler for the CPU. Avoid exceeding 1.350 to 1.360 Vcore on air as it could cause temperatures to rise quickly.
You're secure with both voltage levels. I'll focus on the CPU side because I'm not really an expert in memory tuning when it comes to overclocking. You didn't mention your cooling solution, so I'm assuming you have an air cooler for the CPU. Just keep the Vcore between 1.350 and 1.360 to avoid rapid temperature increases.
LumineZ confirmed everything is within safe limits. I’m focusing on the CPU side because I don’t have much experience with memory tuning for overclocking. No details about your cooling system were shared, so I’m assuming you have an air cooler for the CPU. I recommend staying below 1.350 to 1.360 Vcore in air to avoid rapid temperature increases. Thanks for letting me know—I was also using a Hyper 212 EVO.
