Hey, Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX CPU: AMD 5960X Cooler: Arctic Freezer 36 M2: WD Black SN770 2tb RAM: Patriot Viper Venom 2x16 GB 6000Mhz CL30 PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 - 850W I just built this computer and when I turn it on, the screen shows glitches or weird stuff. I dont have Windows yet either. There is no GPU installed right now too. I tried moving my RAM sticks to different slots one after another but that didnt fix anything. Even if I put them in slot A1 or B1, the BIOS just won't start at all. The BIOS is version F33 which is the latest one i could get. Also there is no GPU because i still dont have one yet. And no windows or any system software either, the pc was built yesterday but when i tried to run the Windows installer, those glitches were happening again. I am using a DP cable to connect my monitor and the screen and cable are actually fine since i tested them on my old computer just now and it works perfectly. Here is a short video and picture showing how it looks. Can anyone help me with this? photo video

Sometimes when I put them in A1 or B1 slots, which aren't marked for use with my first BIOS update, they don't even turn on at all. RAM sticks should always go into slots A2 and B2. My motherboard has a BIOS version of F33, which is the newest one I can get. The link for the latest download says "F34a" or newer. After flashing to that new version, clearing my CMOS memory and testing again, the problem still happens. What make and model do you have for your monitor?

I changed the BIOS setting to version 34A but the problem still stays. I installed one memory stick into slot A2 and checked each of them on their own. They don't work better together than alone. My screen is a BenQ GW2765.

Did you check the CMOS reset? There aren't too many other reasons to think about this. It could be a problem with the port on your motherboard, or maybe the traces that connect things together, or even the CPU socket where the chip sits, or maybe the CPU itself is broken. Honestly, I'd bet it's the CPU, but my gut tells me otherwise. From a probability standpoint, though, the chance of a faulty motherboard feels higher. On my own two feet, if these parts are still within the return window, I'd probably send both back and get brand new ones instead.

Yeah, the CMOS reset worked. But I'm really sorry because my delivery times were messed up. These two parts, a motherboard and a CPU, are already past their return window. This build has been so unlucky for me 😞 I tried turning the CPU off and on again but nothing helped.

Fix the motherboard and maybe the CPU if I can help it, or ask another person for other ideas.

To get a refund or fix, I'll go back to the store and check if they offer a replacement or money back, then tell me what you think?

RMA means returning something to make it better or fixed it up. You do this when you buy from someone like AMD so you can get your computer parts back because they broke or didn't work right away. This is what happens with CPUs and other stuff that comes in a box but doesn't run properly at first.
