It seems you're questioning whether it's safe to proceed with the current PSU and considering alternatives like the Seasonic SSR-750FX or Cooler Master V750s, weighing financial implications.

Very much so.
The Seasonic Focus 750 is a good power supply. But,
I never buy used power supplies. No matter how great they are.
For example, I found a Seasonic Focus 850 Platinum from one of your stores, but since it was used, I won't recommend it. Used power supplies are just as bad, or even worse, than brand new low-quality ones, because you have no way of knowing if they actually work according to ATX standards and what kind of stress they've endured.

This seasonic seems to have been left on the store shelf as a "shop display". If that's correct, I was removed by the mod because I can't buy anything decent anymore. Still thanks for your help, I'll try purchasing something good soon.

If it wasn't used specifically, it should be okay. But the display unit might collect dust and various items could enter it over time because people interact with it as a prop—moving around and so on. In this case, I wouldn't recommend it.

Which GM? Because there are multiple GM suffixes from Seasonic, such as:
Focus GM - Tier A
Core GM - Tier B
G12 GM - Tier B low priority. <- Seasonic B12 matches the quality of G12.

The Seasonic Core GM-650 would work well. It's not as top-notch as the Focus series, but it fits your build and is especially suitable given your limited budget. Plus, the PSU comes with a solid 7-year warranty.

Since apparently my current PSU is a time bomb or a fire risk, I’ll go for the Seasonic. Thanks for your time and thoughtful responses.
