I've worked with every MS Windows operating system from its humble beginnings as a DOS shell to the current version of Win 11. Among all the versions before and after, I still favor W10 the most. Sure, the initial releases were rough and had many issues; they shouldn't be considered reliable. However, by the time Win XP became widely adopted, the OS began to develop more steadily.

For my needs now, I still prefer a supported W10 system rather than a W11 one. W10 even functions well on my older LGA 775 MSI P6N SLI Platinum/Intel C2Q QX6750 setup. I do have W11 available on the compatible builds, so I adapt accordingly. And I'm getting used to it.

OK... a seasoned user just adding a few words.

They haven’t really improved much since XP. Vista was a major mistake and 7 has only made things worse over time. macOS is now a much better everyday operating system—it just functions smoothly without adding any hassle. Plus, it includes a free office suite, video editor, and DAW, and it doesn’t charge extra for features like H265 encoding/decoding.

I switch back and forth between 10 and 11 effortlessly, and it's hard to tell the change.

I also do. The only variation is that I do observe a distinction.

I really favor the memory handling in version 11 compared to 10. My concern is that the official specifications for 11 will render many powerful systems almost useless for most home users.

Unfortunately, you're absolutely correct. However, I think that's a step forward.

There are only small changes left after a few minor adjustments (the key is restoring the Win 10 right-click context menu). I don't miss the 10 option at all because the two operating systems look almost the same. My PowerShell scripts work identically. The main differences I see are the missing settings in the main menu, but they remain reachable from the control panel.

The only thing I overlooked during the upgrade to W11 was the W10 ribbon bar on the Explorer File screen. I really appreciate having the "Copy to" and "Move to" buttons. Because they issued a Reg patch for that, I'm content with W11.
