Are there issues with the driver when the graphics card receives updates?
Graphics Card:
AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
The problem appears to affect newer titles, especially when using Unreal Engine 5. Over the years, my PC would stutter and eventually crash while playing those games. The screens would freeze or turn black, and once they appeared again, error messages and crashes would follow. Drivers often reported issues, and the game would stop around 99 percent of the time.
Occasionally, the game would remain open but freeze, producing extremely low frames and making it unplayable. Restarting the PC, removing and reinstalling drivers didn’t resolve the issue. Adjusting settings in AMD helped a bit, but the problem still persisted. Some games worked perfectly without any problems, which makes it hard to know where to begin.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Some games run perfectly fine with absolutely no issues, so I really don't even know where to start with this.
Please list the specs to your build like so:

include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
Pertaining to your drivers, which version are you currently on? When working with driver updates, did you run DDU to remove all GPU drivers in Safe Mode before installing your driver of choice?
You've mentioned games, can you list them out, without an etc.
motherboard, CPU, memory type and speed, GPU, drives, and operating system version. Let me know if you need anything else!
Also....
Concerning: when I can view my screens again, there are driver errors and logs, plus the game crashing around 99 percent of the time."
What specific driver errors and reports are observed? Source(s)?
Are any connected issues being logged in Reliability History/Monitor or Event Viewer?
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X with 16 cores
CPU cooler: Not sure, not liquid. I kept checking temperatures but everything looks fine.
Motherboard: NZXT N7 B550 (AM4)
Ram: 32GB Dual-Channel DDR4 at 1770MHz
SSD/HDD: 3726GB Western Digital WD_BLACK SN850X 4000GB (Samsung)
GPU: 24.56GB ATI AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
PSU: I recently swapped in a new, much more powerful unit and noticed no change. 750W-900W Corsair brand.
Chassis: Not certain, possibly Corsair Airflow model
OS: Windows 11
There are various issues in the Reliability Monitor, such as hardware errors for Windows and Grounded 2 crashes. Additionally, I overlooked some problems with games like Rainbow 6 Siege, where my FPS drops significantly in fullscreen mode, making everything very choppy.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X with 16-core processor
CPU cooler: Not exactly remembered, not liquid. I kept checking temperatures, but no major concerns.

Crash reports often mention GPU crash dumps or driver problems, sometimes linked to Unreal Engine or AMD, occasionally both.
I’m unsure of the exact game version I’m running, but I’ve re-downloaded several times, using DDU in safe mode both ways.
Regarding games, I remember Grounded 2, Elden Ring (maybe), BO6, FINALS, Satisfactory, and a few others, but can’t recall them all or find any details. Sorry for the confusion.
I’m looking for a solution to this ongoing problem. It appears to affect newer titles using Unreal Engine 5. Over the past few years, my PC would stutter, crash, or freeze, often leaving screens black. When I tried restarting, uninstalling drivers, or changing settings, nothing resolved it. Some games ran fine otherwise, which makes it hard to pinpoint the cause.
I provided details about my system: a Ryzen 9 5950X with 32GB RAM, an SSD/HDD setup, a Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU, and a recent Corsair power supply. The OS is Windows 11. I was asked for specifications and mentioned the crash reports often reference GPU crashes or driver issues, sometimes from both Unreal Engine and AMD.
I’m unsure of the exact game version or driver version, but I’ve re-downloaded several games multiple times in safe mode to check for differences. The crashes seem tied to the latest updates or specific game versions.
I understand you're looking for a solution or answer, not a question. This is your second attempt, and I hope this new post helps draw more attention. Please keep an eye out for suggestions from the community.
