Let's discuss my current setup.
Mobo: Gigabyte Z490 AORUS ELITE AC
CPU: i9-10900k
GPU: 2080 Ti
RAM: 32GB
I also have an MSI MEG Z690 ACE motherboard here.
I'm aiming for higher frame rates in both CoD and Tarkov, targeting around 100 fps at 1440p.
Should I opt for the 4070ti for $800, or invest the same amount in 64GB RAM and a 14900k CPU without getting the GPU? It's one or the other, not both. Any advice would be greatly appreciated since I'm still unsure which option is best. Thanks!
Any questions will be addressed right away as I'll be keeping an eye on this post.

I would choose a GPU upgrade but I'm wondering about the resolution you use for games. You didn't mention the specifications of your power supply unit or its age.

The advertised wattage is 1000 watts, but your response wasn't clear. Remember, everything in life experiences wear and tear, which causes it to degrade over time.

Where you reside where that card is priced at $800? I would prefer an AMD card that is more affordable and quicker, such as a 7900xt.

Your PSU is important because it powers the whole build and is the core of your system. You might want to check our forum for discussions about people who upgraded their GPU with an old or weak PSU, only to see their entire setup fail. But this is your money we're discussing—just constructive advice here.

It relates to your concern. Not every PSU is the same. As power supply capacitors wear out, their performance drops. I experienced this firsthand. A low-quality PSU failed completely, taking my CPU and motherboard with it. Luckily, it was just my HTPC at that moment, not my primary system, but it still cost a lot to fix.
