I recently discovered that Thermalright, recognized for its top-notch CPU air coolers and AIO liquid coolers, also offers some PSU models. However, there aren't many reviews about these products, especially regarding the TR-SP850 model, which is praised for its excellent pricing in my country. What aspects of the Thermalright PSUs are you curious about—build quality, performance, durability, or noise?

Hardware Busters reviews the Thermalright TR-TGFX 550 ATX v3.1 PSU. It’s suitable for budget builds without risking overheating or damage. The review notes it’s not overly powerful but reliable for basic use. No need to invest heavily for this model.

It matches the Enermax Revolution D.F. X 850w, standing alongside Seasonic Focus and Vertex. Check the overall performance chart of HWbusters for more details.

They aren't the worst options, nor the best available, which fits the price range. I believe these would work well for budget projects, though not for the system I plan to construct.

No, that's not correct. Also, the HWBusters site you referenced doesn't show Thermalright PSUs in the overall performance chart, but it does list several Thermaltake models. It seems there might have been a mix-up between the two brands. Generally, OEM parts are reliable, but using different models can misrepresent the quality. You linked a review of the Thermalright TR-TG FX, which uses an S-850F A-J platform from SANR. However, the question concerns the TR-TP model, which uses an S-850MZ AB-J platform from the same manufacturer. Right now, there aren't any solid reviews for the Thermalright TR-TP PSU, so I wouldn't recommend it. Just because the TR-TP is more efficient than the TR-TG FX (80+ Platinum vs 80+ Gold) doesn't necessarily mean it's a better PSU. I've seen some 80+ Titanium models that aren't very good, but Silverstone has produced one, and Thermaltake also has options. Regarding OEM quality, SARN typically makes PSUs for Aerocool and Thermalright, though they often produce lower-quality units (Tier C, E, F). If they put in the effort, they can deliver good products. Examples include the Raijintek Cratos (Tier A), Enermax Revolution D.F. 2 [ERSxxxEWT], and another solid Tier A model.

I linked to this SFX PSU! As mentioned, the Enermax DF.X functions identically. It operates on the same SANR S-MZ platform. The Enermax is listed as Gold but verified by Cybenetics as Platinum, which isn't a major concern for Thermalright to market it as Platinum.

Scroll up and reconsider who connected the review of TR-TG FX model PSU.
🙄
S-MZ and S-850MZ AB-J represent distinct platforms.
S-850MZ AB-J might offer better efficiency compared to the S-850MZ A, but they are not identical systems.
AeroCool Integrator Gold also relies on the SANR S-MZ platform. Would it then be considered a suitable PSU? Probably not.

I understand reviews tend to be brief, but this link gives a good idea of what to anticipate regarding Aerocool and the other PSUs you might encounter.

I also noticed something about sanr. It could be a company that specializes in many areas, possibly a large one, but its PSU division for PCs is relatively small. Some cars and equipment have also adopted aerocool designs.
