I play League of Legends. I think DOTA is harder than League, but that's because I'm mainly a league player. (I've also played Smite and both are easier than DOTA).
It's good to hear. I understand DOTA is much harder, particularly if you're used to League. I haven't played as often lately because I don't have a dedicated computer for regular sessions (I also work full-time). I haven't tried Smite yet—how does it stack up against League?

I've played DOTA twice; I got really caught up in the mechanics and items, even going all-in like Leroy Jenkins... I haven't played HotS either—how does it compare to League? (Fast matches? Shorter or longer sessions?)
I've played Strife for a while now. It's similar to League, but it felt empty. (Kind of like a cheap imitation)
I'm curious if there are any upcoming MOBA titles on the horizon...
HotS is straightforward to learn, there are no items, no gold farming, and the whole team works together. It feels like a swap for farming with XP and lets you pick talents that boost your skills instead of buying gear. The matches tend to be shorter, and it's much simpler—just grab and play. League demands more focus and skill (though I'm not great at it). Still, something about it makes me think League is the better choice, but the mechanics are a bit awkward and the particle effects make team fights more confusing.
Playing league for 8 years now
, it has a fairly simple learning curve.
Hi CJXander, it's great to hear! I've been playing for nearly seven years, mostly on and off. Recently, since URF is now permanent, the games have become faster. It's tough to keep playing multiple normal 5v5 matches that last 35-45 minutes when you only have about 15 minutes each day to spare.
Played Dota for 4 to 5 years, I became fairly skilled (though that's subjective).
I no longer play it; I treat it like alcohol for someone struggling—extremely harmful to my life.
Still, the game remains enjoyable, though my connection with it is unhealthy. I mostly watch tournaments and prefer them over playing.
