You have a powerful setup with an FX 9370, HD 7850, and 16GB RAM, but you're struggling to hit above 51 FPS in Shadow of the Colossus. The CPU is under 42% usage, GPU is around 75%, and you're using less than 38% of the VRAM. The video guide helped with configuration—any tips to boost performance would be really appreciated!

I haven’t played the game yet. My configuration is unique, and I don’t own an AMD CPU or a 7850 chipset. I might attempt to solve it, but I’m not very likely to help you.

I don't believe you'll ever achieve full performance from your hardware using emulation tools. These programs can be quite resource-heavy. I ran God of War 1 and 2 on a PCX2 with an Intel i3 550 and a Radeon HD 5450. Yes, the system is underpowered, but it performs better than a PlayStation 2. To make it play smoothly, I had to enable frame skipping.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll attempt to skip frames. It seems 30+ FPS at full speed works better than lower speeds. The audio issues are really bothersome.

I just tested it now with pcsx2 1.4.0. It was dropping to 60 or lower FPS on Preset 3, but switching to Preset 4 boosted it to 120-140. I'm measuring FPS during the boot cinematic. My system is an i5 4670k @4.2GHz with 16GB RAM and a GTX 980 Ti.

Based on the settings and bios from the video, I'm using an NTSC ROM with the 2004 USA BIOS. I'm experiencing smooth performance at 60 FPS and near 100% speed, though there are occasional dips to 94 FPS. I plan to switch to a PAL ROM with an updated European BIOS for better stability. The version 2.0 is currently being downloaded.

It seems the sizes differ based on region, with the Euro version being larger at 1.5GB and the USA version smaller at 0.8GB.

Europe consistently seeks more? Edit: @Thread212's suggestions helped me.
