Need assistance with my gaming PC
Hello, I just installed a new Ryzen 5 5600X CPU and RX 6600 GPU.
My fans are more than before—currently around 5-6—and the case is updated.
I’ve swapped out my old RAM for DDR4 3600mhz CL18 modules, placed a new SSD, and upgraded to a Corsair rm750x PSU.
The motherboard I used was a Gigabyte B450M DS3H WIFI board; it seems that might not have been fully connected.
I heard the latch click when installing, but I’m not sure if that means it’s properly seated. Should I remove and reinsert it? Also, how many screws are needed to secure the GPU? I only have one now, so I’m unsure whether I should add more.
I’ve been experiencing microstutters and enabled an XMP profile, raising it from 2666mhz to 3600. It helped reduce those issues, but there’s still occasional lag or microstutters every few minutes.
Game titles I’m playing: Rainbow Six Siege, Ghost Recon Breaking Point, Xenoverse 2, Idle GPU RX 6600 temp (39-55°C), RX 6600 temp (60-71°C depending on game), and CPU temps (around normal).
Any advice?
update windows and all drivers, modify the motherboard's BIOS to investigate potential issues:
run userbenchmark.com and share the resulting link, for example:

Hello! Yes, the website is correct. All drivers, Windows, and BIOS have been updated.
it provides all the details you require for troubleshooting. the benchmark system isn't particularly intriguing.
Hey, thanks so much for responding back. I will do that benchmark thing soon. Btw, I have a question. I was looking at my bios earlier today and saw PCIEX16 slot configuration on AUTO. Should I check it to Gen 3? I had to manually change my XMP Profile On to 3600 from 2666mhz.
take a look at GPU-Z, it shows the PCIe speed in Windows. I think adjusting it manually in BIOS won't solve your problem, especially if version 3 is detected.
Sorry, I'm unfamiliar with this platform. I'm attempting to understand how to add a screenshot.
Verify the bus connection during a game or test run. It should display @ PCIe x16 3.0.

My GPU minimum frequency was running 700-750. Look at the picture above ^
Ever since, I moved it up my games have been more smoother. I have a tiny tiny fps drop/stutter every once in a while now. Improvement much more. I was trying to turn on smart memory access but my bios keep rebooting into bios lol. I tried to turn 4G DECODING/CODING and the other option. Idk how to turn it on my motherboard.
