Are there any issues with artifacts and glitches appearing on BIOS screens during the new build?
Hello,
Hardware details: Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX motherboard, AMD 5 9600X processor, Arctic Freezer 36 cooler, WD Black SN770 2tb M2 drive, Patriot Viper Venom 2x16 GB RAM at 6000Mhz CL30, Thermaltakke Toughpower GF3 power supply 850W.
I recently built a new PC and upon startup I encountered glitches and artifacts in the BIOS screen. There is no Windows yet, and no GPU has been installed. I attempted to relocate RAM sticks one by one without success. Even when placed in A1 or B1 slots that weren’t marked as first install, the system failed to start. The BIOS version is F33, which should be the latest available. No GPU was purchased yet, and no Windows installation has occurred. The PC was built yesterday, but launching Windows still caused the same issues. I’m using a DP cable for the monitor, which is functioning properly with my previous setup. Attached are a short video and photo showing the current condition. Anyone have any suggestions or assistance?
Also when i installed them on A1 or B1 slot that is not marked as install first bios did not start at all. Rams should always go onto slots A2 and B2. Bios is in version F33 the newest i could get. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B65...rt-dl-bios The latest if version F34a. Flash to that version, clear the CMOS and then see if the issue persists. What is the make and model of your monitor?
Did you reset the CMOS? There could be several reasons, such as a problem with the motherboard at the port, the traces, or the CPU socket, or even the CPU itself. In my opinion, it’s more likely the CPU is the issue here. From a probability standpoint, the motherboard seems more probable. If you’re considering replacing them, I’d suggest bringing both the CPU and motherboard in if they fall within the return window.
Send back the motherboard and possibly the CPU unless others have better ideas.
RMA is a process to send back an item to the store for possible warranty or refund, I think?
