I expected those topics to get some mention at CES25, but they didn’t. It’s particularly concerning for ThreadRippers after all the hype and the launch of the 8-channel TR Pro line. Now it’s just silence. The same applies to APUs—8700G is decent but outdated. There are whispers about upcoming TR models, but nothing concrete yet. Missing Epyc 8xx series is a big issue. These chips are great for those needing extra PCIe lanes and memory channels beyond AM5, but most aren’t ready to invest in full Epyc 9xx. Any clues about what’s coming or when it might appear?
