I am evaluating the latest laptop with:
i7 13650hx
4060 8GB
RAM - Will Upgrade
Storage - Will Upgrade
Monitor - 1ms 360hz
It seems suitable for my upcoming gaming setup because my older model (Alienware M17 [mobo - Alienware 03R2RY]) has begun to lag after three years with its original specs. My current configuration includes an upgraded i7 8750h, 2070MQ 8GB, two 16GB 3200MHz SSDs totaling 4TB (including a 2TB PCIE 3 M.2 and a 2TB SATA 6Gbps drive). I’ve already replaced the battery and storage drive once.

I’ve observed that most new laptops are around 15.6 inches, while those at 16" or 17" tend to be either very costly or lag behind in terms of technology (like older chip generations). Are there any good 16"/17" gaming laptops I haven’t considered yet? I’m also open to an eGPU option.

Well, once you reach a certain GPU capacity, laptops usually need more cooling. Most mid-range gaming laptops are around 15 inches, which is also the most common size. You might want to check out boutique brands like Sager; they often offer less popular setups that mimic other OEM designs but in a more neutral look.

What is your budget and what specifications are you looking for in addition to the size range of 16"-17 inches? These options appear to be the ones available at Best Buy for a significant improvement over your current setup.

£1500 maximum. Specs require 8GB+ GPU (preferably 30/40series), i7 12th gen or i5 13th gen minimum CPU. RAM and storage are upgradable (prices excluded from the overall budget).

This seems like a decent laptop specs-wise
, though I am not sure the keyboard/touchpad/ports are satisfactory for you.
Here is another option that is cheaper
but does not have the same RAM and Storage.

Overclockers Acer Predator Helios Neo 16
(should have checked first, thanks for your help)
Regarding ports, I might manage to get a Thunderbolt Dock Extension (the laptop port is Thunderbolt 4)
