Are there additional solutions for this BSOD issue?
Hello everyone,
It looks like I'm now facing challenges beyond my troubleshooting abilities, so I'm reaching out for assistance.
BLUF: I'm experiencing repeated fltmgr.sys BSODs lately.
After checking various sources and places:
- SFC/scannow fixed some Bluetooth-related files but didn't resolve the problem.
- DISM showed no issues.
- chkdsk also reported no problems.
- Drivers are up to date, with a few reinstalled just in case.
- Memtest ran several times, but I couldn't find any logs after reboot.
- Malware scan came clean.
- System restore didn’t help.
- Reinstalling from the Windows update didn’t fix it.
- Windows troubleshooter also didn’t reveal anything.
I have two 1/16GB RAM modules, and I ordered new ones that will arrive tomorrow. In the best case, this should resolve the issue; in the worst, I might end up with double the RAM. 😊
I still have the chance to reinstall while preserving data, but I’d prefer to explore other options first.
History:
Everything was normal until I started running into problems with a game called Neverwinter. It would crash randomly when loading new zone maps—only the game affected, not the computer itself. I've tried driver updates, reinstalled the game, and more, but it escalated to this fltmgr issue. It's intermittent: sometimes it lasts a few days, other times it happens immediately after turning on the system. I tried safe mode without issues, but only for a day, so I'm not sure what that means.
