Since I've shifted focus away from CS:GO, I've been exploring Day of Defeat for some time now. I'm searching for other games that offer a non-competitive challenge or relaxing experience. I've checked many titles so far—Insurgency isn't my style, COD doesn't suit me at all, and I haven't played Battlefield 4 yet. I just bought Borderlands 2 but haven't tried it yet. Check out my Steam library if you're interested in games I own that might interest you: http://steamcommunity.com/id/blasting88/games/?tab=all. Anyone have suggestions for fun, non-competitive games?

You own both Portal and Portal 2 but haven’t explored them yet? Time to dive in!

I always thought them as "lonely" games, but since i have the time for them, why not? Thanks for your input!

Portal 1 is pretty short. I've finished it in around 3 hours and it doesn't really feel like a complete game, but the second one is really amazing. It has coop mode, so you can play with a friend after you finish the singleplayer.

Thanks for the update! I also tried Portal earlier at a friend's place before, but missed the chance.

They're mostly calm, yet Just Cause 2/3 deliver amazing time-wasting experiences. Simply start the game, zoom around, destroy objects, and leave. For a narrative or progression-driven vibe, try the Witcher series, particularly Wild Hunt. FTL and Cities Skylines are also enjoyable but can become highly engaging. With JC2 already available, you might want to explore it further. Once you finish the first two missions, the map becomes fully open for creative play.

Are you a fan of strategy games? Singleplayer titles like Age of Empires 2 HD and Stronghold Crusader HD offer a calm experience, making them great picks for you.

Considered JC2 earlier but didn’t have time to try it. The multiplayer aspect was enjoyable, so I’ll give it another shot.

Unfortunately not, but I could be curious about RTS games later on, isn't it? We all evolve eventually.

Originally I wasn't big on FPS games, but I gradually started liking them. H1Z1 has become one of my favorite games to play.
