Are people actually teleporting, even if they have a super fast internet connection and top-notch computer specs?
Hey everyone! Recently, I played Rainbow Six with my girlfriend and she told me that people were always teleporting in every game. She said she had seen this before, but it was still annoying. When I played on her computer to see what was going on, I noticed that players actually teleported like they had 500 ping. But the problem wasn't the connection. Even though I tried sharing my 5G signal with her laptop, her ping stayed around 10. We have the same computer: an Asus ROG Strix with an RTX 3070 and an AMD Ryzen 7 5000 series. The issue doesn't come from bad performance either. I thought about driver issues so I updated both her graphics and connection drivers in vain. This only happens when playing online, since there were no problems against bots. And she has no networking problem when not gaming, so I don't think the network card is to blame. I really have no other idea on how to fix it. Thanks for your help, Louis Veran
Hey, thanks for getting back to me. The internet comes through the WiFi, but there is no ethernet cable near by.
okay, that laptop is using mediatek mt7921 wifi module, google search did found something related to latency spikes (your teleporting) View: https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLaptops/c...3qrwifi_6/
. I think this problem is weird. Maybe it's about hardware?
Hi there, So I tried what you told me to do. I followed the steps and removed network device drivers then installed them again. I hoped that would fix things but nothing changed and I'm sad about it
