Are keyboard and controller interfering with each other?
I tried playing Forza Horizon 5 on my new PC with the PlayStation 5 controller plugged in. It didn’t work at all on Xbox/Forza, but Steam and my PC recognized it. I used an Xbox 360 emulator, which helped a bit. But whenever I pressed input, it switched back to keyboard controls instantly—like stuttering acceleration. It felt like the game was using my keyboard instead of the controller. Also, the game thought my controller was the audio output, so no sound came through. What should I do? Before this PC, I had a virtual machine for my laptop and everything worked fine there. I also used Windows 11 and a PS5 controller (not Bluetooth). I restarted everything and still have issues. Any suggestions?
I’m mimicking the process by using the appropriate software to operate the controller on the computer. For audio, I’ll adjust the output to your speakers or headphones.
Purchase a PC controller for your system without issues. It performs better with Xbox controllers since Microsoft produces both. If the Xbox option is too costly, other choices exist. When budget isn’t a concern, nothing substitutes a physical steering wheel with pedals.
I utilize PS3 controllers on my PC, which means PS5 controllers should work too. If someone already owns them and uses them, it’s better to use what they have rather than purchasing alternatives. I just need to configure them correctly.
I attempted to disconnect it, but nothing changes. The game runs the same whether I start it normally or in a different mode.
I'm using a specific software to link and simulate the controller.
