It looks like really unfortunate circumstances. There aren’t any major problems reported on the forum about Gigabyte boards these days, unlike with other brands. If they kept struggling so often, it would likely be widely known and might not be viable in the motherboard industry anymore.

The boards used are quite solid, though better options exist at a lower cost. Many users face problems with gigabyte DS3H/DS2H lines, which makes sense since these designs are built for up to six-core CPUs—if not less.
