Hey there! You just got a new PC and you're looking to try some games. Since you've invested in the hardware, you're focusing on benchmarking rather than multiplayer. And because torrenting and piracy aren't allowed from your location, you're asking about the legality of using those methods. Let me clarify—using torrents or pirated copies is generally illegal in most places, even if you're just testing performance. It's best to stick with legal sources for fairness and compliance.

Hold off until you have some cash and purchase games from Steam. If you're not satisfied, you can return them to receive a refund. I think you might qualify for a refund if the game time is under two hours. I tend to stick with one and a half hours or less just to be safe, though the situation varies by title.

You're eligible for a refund when you've used less than two hours and the order is within a week.

It takes about two hours and it’s valid only if bought within 14 days, not 7.

Enjoy playing games while waiting. Try titles like Fortnite, League of Legends, Battlerite, Unreal Tournament IV, Dota 2, etc. Obtain a HumbleBundle account—they frequently offer free games. The same applies to GoG. You can also discover free games on Origin.
