Archer T3U Plus TP Link connection
Archer T3U Plus TP Link connection
I'm setting up a PC and the motherboard I have (B650M-HDV) lacks WiFi, so I'm thinking about getting a wireless adapter. Since Ethernet isn't available in my home, I want to know if the T3U Plus works well and whether it will be sufficient. With my phone, I get around 600 Mbps; will that same speed show up on my PC?
No one can predict the exact speeds you'll achieve. Two gadgets in the same vicinity can experience significantly different performance. This depends mainly on the quality of the Wi-Fi signal and how strong the connection is for each device. Generally, many people believe USB Wi-Fi adapters perform well. They often overheat and may cause problems. You should also ensure you're connecting to a USB 3 port, as USB 2 is capped at 480 Mbps. If your home uses coaxial cable, you can connect via MOCA adapters through a wire. It's not as fast as Ethernet but can offer more stability than Wi-Fi.
