Arc a310 ECO paired with i5-3470 processor
I'm working on improving my Optiplex 3010 setup using an Arc a310 ECO. After some initial fixes, I moved the A310 to my gaming PC and updated its drivers and firmware. This allowed the display to appear when I reconnected it to the Optiplex, but the A310 wasn't recognized by the task manager or Handbrake. I attempted driver updates on the Optiplex itself, yet after a few hours I lost the display output. Once I booted into Windows, the image stopped showing. It's worth mentioning that the only monitor I've successfully tested is a VGA screen connected via HDMI adapter, though I'm skeptical it's the issue since other HDMI inputs work fine.
I've experimented with various GPUs and some older hardware doesn't perform well. I'd consider a 1650, as it's typically more reliable on older systems. Alternatively, a modern platform like an i3 12100 offers stronger CPU performance along with a GPU that significantly improves encoding tasks compared to the A310.
