Hey everyone. I was just tidying up my PC and my girlfriend's graphics cards last night when I saw her GTX 1070 had some noticeable liquid grease around the parts, especially the VRAM chips. Do you know what to do about this? Should I replace the hardware soon or just swap out the thermal pads? Any advice would be super helpful. Mark
it's normal, it's a thing thermal pads do and it's not dangerous nor is it a problem for the thermal pads.
Low-cost thermal pads often release a greasy liquid. It’s not harmful, but it leaves marks and is tough to remove. Higher-quality pads have a thicker, stickier texture, though they can damage heat sinks during removal.
